Description
As the happy owner of a 2019 Peugeot 208 equipped with the famous 82hp PureTech engine, a friend advised me to check the width of my accessory belt. I initially considered buying a dedicated tool, available for between 5 and 10 euros, before changing my mind and looking on MakerWorld.
I found what I was looking for... or almost. The tool in question was there, but impossible to use: my model is equipped with a grille that completely blocks access and prevents the tool from being inserted.

So I opened Fusion 360 and modeled a thinner tool with a touch of humor.
For printing, I made it with a P2S and in PETG
ATTENTION:
- Do not use PLA.
- Wait for the engine to cool down.
- If access is blocked or you are not comfortable with the manipulation, do not insist.
USAGE:
- Open the oil cap.
- Insert the object (it takes a little knack)
- Place your belt between the two 16.3mm teeth
- If the belt fits between the 2 markers without difficulty, it means the belt is in good condition. If the belt does not fit between the 2 markers, it means the belt has widened and must be changed immediately.
I'm crossing my fingers for you, for my part, the belt was changed at 92,000km.
See you soon
