Manfrotto 3265 Pistol Grip spring sleeve

Description
This is a spring guide (part that touches the grip lever that contains the spring which actuates the tension on the ball head) to replace the original. Why would you want to do this? Because if you break it, and you have a 3D printer, some calipers, and a vague understanding of Shapr3D; it's a much cheaper (free) alternative to replacing the whole 3265 unit.
The piece that prints is what you see in red in the pictures. I should have taken a picture of it before installing it…but once it was in there? Yeah…I'm not trying to do that over and over. That being said, if you're reading this then you're likely experiencing the same issue I had. The disassembly of the 3265 should be done attentively. It may be frustrating at first, but it can be done. My hint would be to keep the bottom two screws on the handle in place but loosened significantly. Having a third hand would have made the process far easier. Also, a skinny long screwdriver to maintain the spring while installing the printed part.
Obviously, the printed part slides over the spring and has to fit into the hole deep enough for the tabs on it to catch the frame. I found the easiest method of doing this was to hold the spring in place with the aforementioned “skinny long screwdriver” while slightly prying the handle open enough to slide the printed part over the spring and into the hole with tabs facing to the side. Then, once pushed far enough in, twist the printed part to orient the tabs downward and into their channel in the frame. Also, I highly suggest using PETG or stronger. I tested the part, at first, with Bambu Labs Basic PLA--and it held up, but showed wear immediately. The red one pictured is printed with SUNLU PETG and is holding up and keeping its appearance nicely after use. Oh yes, print this with supports under the bottom faces of the tabs. That helps.
Anyhow, if you've even considered replacing the part yourself then you're likely well versed enough to just do this without explanation of any kind.
The above rhetoric is but a tip or two.
Putting this file here is simply to make it quicker to find something to replace the original part when it breaks.
Here's to fixing your tripod head--cheers.
