THE MODEL :
Invite the magic of ancient woodlands and nocturnal wisdom into your home with this unique decorative console. This design seamlessly blends the structured elegance of Baroque architecture with the captivating face of a horned owl emerging from a bed of sculpted oak leaves. The meticulous feather textures and the raptor's piercing gaze give this piece a truly mystical charm. Perfect for Dark Cottagecore aesthetics, scholarly libraries, or antique-inspired studies, this shelf serves as a beautiful ledge for trailing plants, crystals, old keys, or collectible books.
Tested Print Settings (Recommendations): The rich organic textures and complex high-reliefs of this model were successfully validated using matte black PLA.
- Infill: Printed at 5% for the display model shown in the images. Mechanical Advice: If you plan to load it with real everyday items (such as a terracotta planter or heavy books), bump the infill up to 20-30% and add extra wall loops to reinforce the shelf's top deck integrity.
- Nozzle: 0.4 mm
- Supports: Recommended beneath the main top ledge overhangs and under the owl's beak for a flawless finish.
Sizing Information: The file is scaled for a standard layout, making it an ideal accent piece for pillars or narrow wall sections. Feel free to freely adjust the scale dimensions in your slicer to create either a large statement shelf or a miniature decorative jewelry holder.
INFORMATION:
A common question is: why do these prints require supports when they could be printed lying flat?
For my designs, I deliberately choose to print them standing upright rather than flat, in order to achieve the best possible level of detail. I prioritize visual quality over saving a few grams of filament.
Of course, you are free to change the print orientation in your slicer if you prefer.
