This 3-piece Rear Alignment Tool was specifically designed for Harley-Davidson Softail models and is based on tool HD-48856-B
The tool allows you to precisely measure the distance between the left and right rear thru-axles to accurately align the rear wheel
The set consists of:
- 2 adapters for the rear axle
- 1 L-shaped measuring tool
Application:
- An O-ring (inner diameter 3–3.5 mm) is required, which is placed on the L-shaped measuring tool
- Insert the adapter into the thru-axle and mark the center point with a pin (the center point is already printed)
- Measure the left side of the wheel by holding the L against the flat milled surface and sliding the O-ring onto the center of the axle
- Adjust the other side to the exact same measurement
- Ensure that the belt tension is correct according to the manual and that the thru-axle has definitely been tightened again according to the manual
- Remove the thru-axle adapters
