The sunlight rarely pierced through the lush canopy of the NGL region, casting its rays upon a large bluestone outside the nest.

Pitou rested its chin in its hands, its tail swinging idly in the air. The Queen was still asleep, and the King had not yet been born. At this moment, the nest was quiet, with only the rustling of leaves as the breeze passed through.

“Meow…” Pitou yawned boredly, its sharp claws lightly tracing patterns in the air. For it, “guarding” was an ingrained instinct, but with no enemies invading, the excess energy made this big cat somewhat restless.

Suddenly, a colorful venomous butterfly fluttered past its eyes.

Pitou’s round eyes instantly lit up, its pupils dilating. It didn’t use its exaggerated “Terpsichora,” nor did it release its malevolent aura that could drive people to mental breakdown. Instead, it merely hunched its back like a most ordinary kitten, its tail tip taut, gently swaying from side to side.

Pounce.

It lunged fiercely. However, it failed to control its strength, and two deep footprints instantly appeared on the hard bluestone where it landed. Startled, the venomous butterfly flapped its wings and flew high into the sky.

Pitou sat on the ground, somewhat annoyed, tilting its head and placing a finger on its lips, just like the pose of this figurine, lost in thought: “Hmm… although a human body is convenient to use, it's still a bit too heavy for playing butterfly catch, meow.”

It dusted off its clothes and once again cast its gaze into the depths of the forest, a dangerous yet innocent smile playing on its lips. Who would be the next unfortunate human Nen user to play the “catch the spy” game with it?
