Description

Meet the Lattice Chameleon Sculpture — a detailed decorative chameleon with an open geometric body, textured reptile features, and a dramatic curled spiral tail.

This model is designed as a bold display piece rather than a toy. The hollow lattice structure gives the chameleon a lightweight, eye-catching look while still keeping the animal instantly recognizable. From the textured head and legs to the curled tail and raised back details, the model has plenty of visual interest even when printed in a single color.

It looks especially striking in bright PLA, matte PLA, silk PLA, neon colors, or any filament that highlights the lattice pattern.

Highlights

  • Decorative chameleon sculpture
  • Open lattice body design
  • Curled spiral tail detail
  • Great as desk decor, shelf decor, or a gift print
  • Strong single-color visual impact
  • Looks amazing in bright, neon, silk, or matte filament

Printing Notes

Print with good bed adhesion and a clean first layer to keep the base neat and stable. The model is designed to stand as a decorative display piece and works best in bold colors that show off the open lattice structure.

For maximum visual impact, try neon green, lime, silk green, matte green, rainbow silk, or color-changing filament.

Just a heads up. Its intricate. As are the supports. Make yourself a cup of tea, put on a nice podcast, and take your time removing supports.

If you print this model, I’d love to see your make — photos, ratings, and feedback really help a lot. Thanks for checking out my design and for supporting my work!

I enjoyed this print. I made it out of polymaker-ht and am going to see how it holds up in the weather. The supports were a challenge to get off. More specifically they were a challenge to get out of the inside of the print. I ended up drilling a hole in the base so that I could get all of the internal supports out of the print. All in all I think it turned out good and I look forward to giving this to my mother in law for her birthday to put in her garden.

I love that color! the supports are absolutely a terrible challenge; but I have a new version that will only have supports from outside I hope to upload soon.

Only supports on the outside would be great. The supports on the outside were not bad to remove except under the arms. It was more the inside supports that were a challenge and then having to drill a hole in the bottom of the print to remove them. Though it is not a big deal since this will been a garden. It was fun to print.

drilling a hole is smart- I broke them into tiny pieces with thin tweezers and pulled them out little by little.

I love the design. It's really beautiful. I did have serious issues removing some of the supports and I don't know if it's a filament issue or a design problem. I'm going to print again using a different PLA.

That looks stunning with that filament!! The supports are a struggle for sure. Im positive someone with more knowledge than me can chime in and help with settings to help remove them more. I tried a few things and ended up with spaghetti messes most times.

I bought the filament on Temu. It's a red, green, blue combo and when I move the chameleon, it changes colors.
