Challenge your brain against the clock with GridRush!
This 3D printable board game combines the spatial strategy of Tetris with the randomness of dice. It is a highly addictive puzzle, perfect for solo play or head-to-head competition with friends and family. The goal is simple: roll the dice, block the forbidden coordinates, and be the fastest to fit all your pieces. There is always at least one possible solution! Will you be fast enough to find it first?
š¦ File Content (Components)
- 6x6 Game Board: Low-profile design to save filament, featuring rounded corners and high-visibility coordinates (A-F, 1-6).
- 7x Coordinate Dice: Custom dice that dictate the blocked spaces for each round.
- 7x Blocker Pegs: Pegs inserted into the board to cancel out the spaces shown on the dice.
- 9x Puzzle Pieces: A set of 9 polyominoes with various geometric shapes beautifully designed to fit the 29 remaining open spaces.
š² Instruction Manual & Rules of Play
1. Setup
- Each player receives a board, a set of 7 blocker pegs, and the 9 colored puzzle pieces.
- Place the 7 coordinate dice in the center of the table.
2. Rolling the Dice (Blocking Phase)
- The youngest player rolls all 7 dice at once.
- All players find those 7 coordinates on their own boards and place a blocker peg on each of them.
- Example: If the dice show A1, B4, C2, D6, E3, F1, F5, those spaces are locked and cannot be used for the rest of the round.
3. The Rush! (Solving Phase)
- At the shout of "GridRush!", all players simultaneously begin fitting their 9 puzzle pieces into the remaining empty spaces on the board.
- Pieces can be flipped, rotated, and turned in any direction.
- No piece may overlap another, extend past the board edges, or cover a blocker peg.
4. Winning the Game
- The first player to successfully fit all 9 pieces onto the board, filling every single empty space, shouts "Solved!".
š ļø Recommended Print Settings
- Layer Height: 0.2mm (standard).
- Walls: 3 perimeters for extra durability on the pieces.
- Infill: 15% (Gyroid recommended).
- Supports: None required! Everything is designed to print flat on the bed.
- Filament: We recommend a neutral color (like grey or black) for the board and bright, distinct colors for each of the 9 pieces to make it pop.
