Some cups, mugs, and bottles are simply too large to fit into standard car cup holders. This customisable cup holder converter is designed to solve that problem by letting you adjust the model to suit your own car and cup dimensions.

Unlike fixed-size adapters that may not match your cup, this parametric design allows you to define the key measurements yourself.

This design includes a mug handle opening function, allowing you to create a side cut-out for cups or mugs with handles. You can customise the size of the opening based on your mug handle dimensions, making it more flexible for different drink containers.

šŸŽÆ Designed for Irregular Car Cup Holder Spaces

Some cars do not have a perfectly regular cup holder area. One side of the cup holder may have obstacles, raised sections, nearby trim, or limited clearance.

To help with this, the design includes an option to choose between concentric alignment and tangent-to-one-side alignment. This allows the upper cup holder section to be centred normally, or shifted to one side so it can better avoid obstacles in your car.

🪹 Hollow Bottom Design

This converter is designed with a hollow bottom structure, helping to reduce material use and avoid unnecessary solid infill at the base.

🧪 Uploaded Profile

The uploaded print profile is the tested version for an Owala drink bottle. It is a perfect fit for the upper bottle size.

However, you will still need to measure the bottom section carefully to make sure it fits your own car cup holder. Different cars may have different cup holder diameters, depths, shapes, and internal layouts.

šŸ–Øļø Printing Notes

The connection angle between the upper and lower parts is adjustable. If the angle is 45° or smaller, supports are generally not required for that transition area.

If you choose a larger angle, enable the cup handle opening, or create other overhanging features, supports may still be needed depending on your slicer settings and printer capability.

For best results, measure your car cup holder and cup carefully before generating the model. Make sure the lower section fits securely into your car’s existing cup holder, while the upper section is large enough to support your cup or bottle comfortably.

Please measure your car cup holder size carefully before printing. Some car cup holders may have irregular layouts, non-round shapes, internal gaps, raised sections, obstacles, or unusual angles that can affect the fit.

This converter is designed to provide a convenient way to create a customised cup holder adapter, but it cannot guarantee a perfect fit for every vehicle. If your car cup holder has an uncommon shape or layout and the print does not fit, the user is responsible for checking the measurements and accepting that risk before printing.
