Description

Description

Stack up the fun with this kid-friendly magnetic hamburger! Designed for imaginative kitchen play, this toy comes apart into layers (bun, patty, cheese, tomatoes, pickles, and lettuce) that snap back together with embedded magnets. Kids can build their burger piece by piece, then take it apart and start all over again. It's perfect for pretend cooking, food-themed games, and helping little ones practice stacking and fine motor skills.

Printing details

  • You will need 21 10x3 magnets for this model.
  • Place the magnets with all the same polarity except for the bottom bun (plate 1) and cheese (plate 4)
  • IMPORTANT: Not all magnets are created equal! You want magnets strong enough to hold the pieces together securely, but not so powerful that they'll pinch little fingers. Some 15x3 magnets may be too strong, while others work perfectly. There are two print profiles to accommodate different magnet sizes.
  • The print profile has a pause to insert the magnets.
  • I highly recommend adding a little bit of glue stick on the top of the magnets to help the next layer adhere.

Filaments used

  • Caramel - Bambu Matte PLA
  • White oak - Bambu Wood PLA
  • Scarlet red - Bambu Matte PLA
  • Dark red - Bambu Matte PLA
  • Lemon yellow - Bambu Matte PLA
  • Dark brown - Bambu Matte PLA
  • Chocolate - Bambu Matte PLA
  • Apple green - Bambu Matte PLA
  • Dark green - Bambu Matte PLA

I'm sorry you're having issues with this one! It sounds like you've already tried the first things I would recommend. The next thing I would try would e to slow down the print speed. If that also doesn't seem to help, then I would suggest enabling supports for the bun, since it appears to be the overhangs that are giving you trouble. I didn't create a magnet diagram for the burger, but the instructions are: Place the magnets with all the same polarity except for the bottom bun (plate 1) and cheese (plate 4)

I tried supports and it was doing the same thing. I am going to try a different filament and look at all my settings

Hi friend, you've done a great job again! Do you have any ideas on how to reduce the pressing time on the top of the hamburger bun? Would reducing the amount of sesame seeds help?

The best way would be to remove all the painting on the top bun so it was just one color. I think it would still look good if you did that. You can also try reducing the amount of sesame seeds that are painted, but that would probably only have minimal effects
