Triangle Breathing Pause Card for Kids

Help students pause, breathe, and reset with this tactile Triangle Breathing Pause Card from 3DprintEDU.

This 3D printable SEL tool gives children a simple finger tracing path to support calm breathing, focus, and emotional regulation. Students begin at the O, then trace around the triangle as they move through each part of the breathing cycle.

How to Use

Begin at the raised O, which is designed to be the consistent starting point across the SEL Pause Cards collection.

Place your finger on the O and slowly trace along the triangle path.

Use a steady breathing rhythm:

Inhale as you trace up the first side of the triangle.
Hold as you trace down the second side.
Exhale as you trace across the bottom side.

Repeat the triangle a few times, moving slowly and breathing calmly. The raised path gives students a tactile guide to follow, helping them slow down, focus, and reset.

For younger students, an adult can guide the rhythm by counting aloud:

Breathe in, 2, 3, 4. Hold, 2, 3, 4. Breathe out, 2, 3, 4.
