THE MODEL :

Open a secret window into history and mystery with this striking architectural wall frame. Designed as a high-relief diorama, this piece goes beyond simple decoration to offer an immersive, deep perspective into the nave of a miniature cathedral. The outer border embraces flamboyant Gothic art, showcasing pointed arches, chiseled pinnacles, and intricate scrollwork. At its center, a stunning illusion of depth reveals a sanctuary illuminated by a stained-glass window and an ancient lectern. It is the perfect statement piece to bring a mystical medieval aesthetic or an old monastery atmosphere into your living space.

Tested Print Settings (Recommendations): The intricate details of this three-dimensional structure have been successfully printed and validated using matte black PLA.

  • Infill: Set at 5% for the display model. However, depending on your mounting setup or if you prefer a heavier, more solid feel, feel free to scale the infill up to 15-20%.
  • Nozzle: 0.4 mm
  • Resolution: A fine layer height (0.16mm or lower) is highly recommended to beautifully capture the depth of the nave and the delicate architectural details.

Sizing Information: The original proportions provide a wonderful visual balance on any wall. That being said, you can freely adjust the scale in your slicing software to make it larger or smaller, depending on your room layout or if you plan to integrate it into a custom shadow box project.

INFORMATION:

A common question is: why do these prints require supports when they could be printed lying flat?

For my designs, I deliberately choose to print them standing upright rather than flat, in order to achieve the best possible level of detail. I prioritize visual quality over saving a few grams of filament.

Of course, you are free to change the print orientation in your slicer if you prefer.
