Since the Filament Track Switch is now supported on the H2C, I got one.

 

Because it’s difficult to access the back of my printer,
I looked for an alternative to the official model, which is secured with screws.

 

I found a modified model that uses magnets for mounting,
but since I also needed to use a 4-in-1 PTFE adapter, I created a modified version that incorporates both.

 

I remixed HM175’s excellent PTFE Adapter II Holder for this,
and I’m very satisfied with the result.
Thank you to HM175 for allowing remix such a great model.
 

The 4-in-1 PTFE Adapter mount is optional.
If you don’t need it, simply skip it and print.

 


Since it attaches to the back of the printer with magnets,
it should be flexible enough to accommodate various setups.

 

I’ve uploaded two profiles to accommodate both 8mm x 3mm and 6mm x 3mm magnets.

I only used four 8x3 magnets, and that seems sufficient.
If you want a stronger hold, use six.

 

Cut the PTFE tube between the Filament Track Switch and the 4-in-1 adapter

to 50 mm for a good fit.

 


Each profile includes two plates;
- Two-color print using AMS
- Monochrome print with engraving instead of labeling

 

A two-color print using PETG took 1 hour and 9 minutes.

  • Font change;
    I traced the text on the Filament Track Switch housing
    and replaced it with the exact same font.

    There are no functional changes, but I made it look nicer :)

  • Added “The Four in Two” add-on

  • Inspired by a conversation with a user, I made an add-on for Made.In.Meidling’s The “Four In Two” PTFE Adapter.

    I used the “Four In Two” PTFE Adapter myself until I bought the Filament Track Switch, so I didn’t want to abandon this great device. :)

    If anyone else needed this, I hope it helps.

     

  • I’ve been using PTFE tubing cut to 80mm with great results,
    but this may vary slightly depending on the type of fitting you used when building your “Four In Two” PTFE Adapter.
