Description

# Optic Fibers Adapter for MDT LRA Send iT MW3 — v2

A set of replacement housing (3- or 5-fiber) and an ocular adapter for the MDT LRA Send iT MW3 electronic level. Designed with tight tolerances for a press-fit with no adhesive required.

## What's new in v2
- **Firmer fiber retention** — housing tolerances revised so PMMA fibers stay locked in under recoil and handling. No glue needed.
- Drop-in replacement for v1; same mounting and ocular geometry.

## What you need
- **Acrylic (PMMA) optic fibers, 2.5 mm OD** — if you use a different diameter you'll need to scale the model.
- **Velcro strap, up to 20 mm wide** — to mount the ocular to your scope.
- Fibers cut to length; edges can be smoothed with a lighter or other heat source.

## Print settings
- **Nozzle:** 0.2 mm
- **Layer height:** 0.1 mm
- **Material:** PETG recommended. Resin also works well if you're after a cleaner finish.
- No supports needed in the default orientation.

## Assembly notes
Fibers are meant to be a firm press fit — that's intentional.

**Ocular tip (important):** Start by inserting the fiber into the **front end of the ocular at an angle** (see photo). Once the front tip is seated, press the rest of the fiber down into the groove. If you try to seat the fiber into the groove first, you won't be able to push it forward into the front of the ocular afterwards.
