Description

Peugeot Satelis 125 Front Right Inspection Cover

Description

This is a replacement front right inspection cover for the Peugeot Satelis 125.

On the Peugeot Satelis, the left inspection cover has a lock, but the right inspection cover does not. Because of that, the right cover can get loose or lost over time. That is exactly what happened to a friend of mine, so I reverse engineered the original part and made a printable replacement.

This part is designed as a functional replacement for the missing right side inspection cover. It keeps the original shape and look as close as possible, but I also made a small practical improvement.

The printed version holds tighter than the original part and is not as easy to remove by accident. To make removal still possible, I added two small slots where the internal latches lock the cover in place. You can use a flat screwdriver through these slots to gently push the latches open and remove the cover when needed.

I printed my version in ASA CF, which gives a very nice surface finish and is also UV resistant, making it a great choice for outdoor use on a scooter.

Recommended Materials

Best choice:
ASA CF

Other recommended materials:
ASA
PETG
PAHT

ASA CF gives the best finish in my opinion and is a very good option because of its UV resistance and heat resistance.

PLA is not recommended because this part is used outside and can be exposed to sun, heat, rain, and temperature changes.

Printing Notes

Use a material suitable for outdoor and vehicle use.

ASA CF, ASA, PETG or PAHT are recommended.

For best results, use an enclosed printer when printing ASA or ASA CF.

Make sure your print bed is clean and your material is dry, especially when printing technical materials like ASA CF or PAHT.

Depending on your printer, material and slicer settings, small fit differences can happen.

Installation

Check the printed part for clean edges and remove any small imperfections.

Press the cover into place carefully and make sure the latches engage properly.

The fit is intentionally tighter than the original, so do not force it in at a bad angle.

To remove the cover, use a flat screwdriver in the two small slots to push the latches open.

Disclaimer

This is a 3D printed replacement part and not an original Peugeot spare part.

Fitment was designed based on the original cover, but small differences can happen depending on printer calibration, material shrinkage and print settings.

Use at your own risk and check the part regularly, especially after installation and after riding.
