I have designed this rack to mount a ManPack with my Retevis RT95 radio. It is also compatible with the Anytone AT778 UV radio as it is the same. It is designed to allow an antenna to be connected via a PL-259 connector on the front of the radio, along with a main switch and a small switch for a dedicated fan to cool the radio during prolonged transmission periods

Before printing, although the files published have worked perfectly for me, check that all parts fit to avoid wasting filament, especially that the anchoring piece for the antenna and buttons has the appropriate holes for your components and for parts that depend on purchased components, as they may vary depending on where you buy them and who manufactures them

Also keep in mind that when inserting the threaded inserts with heat, they may not be centered, which can lead to complications when installing the screws for the fan and electronics covers (It's the first time I've used them, and some threads have moved, making it difficult to install the screws later)

The necessary files are included to create the same configuration I have, including an anchor to replace the PTT hook and allow it to be hung from any part of the structure (To remove the original hook and then mount the printed one, it is necessary to disassemble the PTT). Currently, I have only experienced problems transmitting on UHF with a generic antenna I bought from AliExpress; I don't know if this is due to RF return to the radio itself because it lacks a ground plane

I have tested it with my base antenna (Diamond X300) and with a portable antenna (KOMUNICA FX-400-PWR) and have not had any issues

For mounting the rails, only a little cyanoacrylate is needed. For mounting the rear part where the wiring is housed, the fan support, the front where the antenna and buttons are anchored, for the feet, and for the grilles and covers, the following are needed:

  • 17 M4x16 screws
  • 17 M4 nuts
  • 10 M3x8 screws
  • 10 M3 threaded inserts

For mounting the fan, the following are needed:

  • 4 M3x8 screws
  • 4 M3 threaded inserts (Inserted into the fan)

For the electrical installation, I used a toggle switch and a circular switch I had at home, the cables and fuses supplied with the radio itself, an XT60 connector to connect the radio to a battery, and an RG58 cable approximately 20cm long, along with one male PL-259 connector and one female. The cable and connectors are from a local store; there are probably much better coaxial cables for this installation, but this is the only one I could get

To create this design, I took into account this model by @cortesesa, which served as an idea and allowed me to start taking measurements for designing while my RT95 was on its way

I am attaching a list of the necessary materials (make sure you actually select the style of fan you need and everything else you truly want once you open the link):

I have printed all parts in PETG; in my opinion, both PLA and ABS are also excellent choices if you wish to use them

If you have any questions, feel free to ask me. Keep in mind that this is the first "serious project" I am sharing

I hope you like it ;)
