Description

After many hours of testing and modeling I am very excited to present my very own constant force spring windup car! This model utilizes the same engineering behind the windup toy cars that have been around for many years, there's a good chance that you even played with one growing up. Now you can build your very own windup toy car!

The print profiles for this model are designed to work with the AMS system, however, multicolor is not necessary.

IMPORTANT PRINTING NOTE: The gears can only be printed with a 0.2mm nozzle due to the small gear teeth, if the gears are printed with a 0.4mm nozzle they will not function properly.

IMPORTANT HARDWARE NOTE: Unfortunately, as of right now Bambu does not sell a constant force spring through Maker Supply, so I obtained mine by taking apart a windup toy car from amazon. I strongly recommend using the constant force spring from the toy cars linked below, as this is what I designed the gear housing for, thus I don't know if other spec constant for springs would work.

However, if this model gets enough downloads and prints maybe Bambu would be willing to add a model kit including a constant force spring for this model on the Bambu store!

Below is a PDF of the assembly instructions for this model and a list of the hardware required through Maker Supply. I recommend taking a look through the PDF when assembling since there are a lot of individual components to this model and important information relevant to the assembly in the instructions.

If you have any questions or recommendations for ways to improve this model, please feel free to message me or leave me a review. Thanks for looking and happy printing!
