Description
A boost a day keeps the doctor away <3 If you like my little 3D object (I know, it's not much, but maybe it helped you out in some way) I appreciate every little boost <3
Low Play Steering Ball Joint Connectors for GL Racing GLR
These are custom designed steering ball joint connectors for the GL Racing GLR RC chassis
Compared to the original connectors, they noticeably reduce play in the steering system while still allowing smooth and free movement
I printed and tested the parts in ASA, and they have proven to be very durable They were used extensively on an RCP race track and survived several heavy crashes without breaking
The hole for the adjustable steering rod is intentionally designed slightly tight This helps the thread of the steering rod grip firmly and keeps the connection as precise as possible Before screwing in the rod, the hole needs to be carefully opened up with a pointed tool I recommend doing this slowly and in several small steps until the thread bites cleanly and tightly
Recommended Material
ASA is recommended
The included 3MF settings were used for my own prints and worked reliably during testing
Installation Notes
Carefully widen the steering rod hole before installation
Do not force the threaded rod in too aggressively, as this may damage the part
Work slowly, check the fit often, and stop once the steering rod screws in tightly without excessive resistance
Tested Use
Tested on an RCP race track
Smooth steering movement
Reduced play compared to the original connectors
Durable even after stronger crashes

Steering Ball Joint Connectors with Reduced Play for GL Racing GLR
These ball joint connectors for the steering rods were specifically designed for the GL Racing GLR RC chassis
Compared to the original connectors, they noticeably reduce play in the steering system while still allowing smooth and free movement
I printed and extensively tested the parts in ASA On an RCP race track they reliably held up, even after stronger impacts and heavier crashes
The hole for the adjustable steering rod is intentionally designed slightly tighter This allows the steering rod's thread to grip very firmly, creating as little play as possible in the connection Before screwing it in, the hole must be carefully widened slightly with a pointed object I recommend doing this in several small steps until the thread grips cleanly and tightly
Recommended Material
ASA is recommended
The settings from the 3MF file were used for my own prints and proved reliable during testing
Installation Notes
Carefully widen the hole for the steering rod before installation
Do not force the steering rod in, as this may damage the part
Work slowly, check the fit often, and widen only until the thread grips tightly and cleanly
Tested Use
Tested on RCP race track
Smooth steering movement
Reduced play compared to the original connectors
Durable even after stronger crashes
