Hello printing community! Today I present to you a home made wash and cure alternative, well at least wash alternative. As many of resin printers, i at some point invested in the Wash and Cure device - the Elegoo Mercury. It works great! But it has one big issue - using it directly from the printer will dirty out the IPA realy fast, so as many tutorials suggest - I have 3 step process for cleaning the model - dirty IPA, cleaner IPA and then wash and cure.
I HATE cleaning models by hand! But purchasing 3 wash and cure machines is just an overkill pricewise. Thus I designed a home made solution that works with electric drills or screwdrivers - it connects via standard 6mm hex connection, that is commonly used for drill bits. I personally use the parkside electric screwdriver as it is slower than the drill, so a bit more control.
For everything I have used PETG filament and after more than 3 months in IPA it still works perfectly.
Additionally to the fillament you will need a plastic food container that seals hermetically, 16 8x3mm magnets (or 8 8x6mm magnets) some M3 20mm bolts and nuts, some epoxy glue - better if chemical resistant, optionally - a velcro strap. Optionaly some 608 bearings, but I have printed mine :)

I have printed and set up 2 washing machines, so now the 3 step washing process is simple, clean and convenient. Also even if the parts would gunk up
eventually - you can always print more - it is not expensive at all!
To have a fully home made solution there are many home made cure machines that utilize UV led strips, mirrors and other stuff like IKEA metal boxes, youtube is full of those :)
