Description
The 842 series railcars (original, but ultimately unused designation M 273.2) were manufactured for Czech Railways by Moravian-Silesian Railway Company (now Škoda Railway Company) in 1993 and 1994, two prototypes were also built for Czechoslovak State Railways in 1988. In 2021, the 842 series railcars are deployed in Brno, Valašské Meziříčí, Tábor and Pilsen and are used in passenger and express train sets. They regularly ran express trains until 2019.
