SnapLock Playing Card Box

I have really enjoyed making variations of Hugo's original SnapLock Box, but I needed something that was for a singular deck of playing cards, not two decks and without a lot of extra room. My family loves to play card games, so naturally I tried to use the smallest value for the parameter height and it was still too large, so I modified and created my own. This allows for a smaller, thinner box to be created that should accommodate just about any deck of playing cards. I had many different brands of decks that I was able to measure to get the best general fit. So if your deck is 64mm wide, 89.5mm long, and 16.75mm thick or smaller, then this will work for you! This closely aligns to the same latch that Hugo originally designed, but I modified it so that it is wider and shorter, but still allowed for the flexing of the nib area for the lock. I also know how much we like to customize the front of the cases so I included a STEP file of the lid. I like printing these as gifts, so being able to customize is a necessity!

Enjoy printing, and know that my original thought was to create it so that it could be used for solitaire. The inserts can be printed together and they will nest, or you can just make one of them. If you make the top and bottom, they can be used as a draw pile and discard pile holder. If you use in combination with the case, you now have 4 areas to place cards as you would for solitaire. Without the inserts, you will gain about 4mm in all directions, but cards will shift around.

I believe Hugo recommends 2 wall and an infill of 15%. I like using 3 walls personally (as well as 8-10% gyroid infill) and have not had any issues with the hinges. Enjoy and please upload any pics of your prints or custom designs!
