Monster Chest - Open & Closed - Mimic

Summary:

The original design contained gaps that resulted in very thin and structurally weak features when the model is scaled to DnD miniature size. This remix addresses those issues by filling the gaps and adding wood plank details to the exterior for improved aesthetics and durability.

The closed version was derived directly from the open version to ensure visual consistency between the two.

Example Print Settings:

• Material: PLA
• Nozzle: 0.2mm @ 220°C
• Bed: PEI @ 60°C
• Layer Height: 0.07mm

• Supports: Supports are strongly recommended inside the mouth and at the corners of the mouth. Printing without supports produced rough results in testing. While unsupported teeth may have a slightly rough appearance, it can complement the overall aesthetic. After testing multiple configurations, the standard snug support settings proved to be the most effective however you may need to dig them out around the tongue.

   

Note: Custom speeds and profile were used for my setup, however I matched the settings as close as possible using the Bambu default settings and mimicking my original supports. Actually Bambu's supports look so much better than what I used.
