Oppo Find X9 Ultra Magsafe ND Mount Thin Variant

Description
Description:
This is a lightweight and functional camera mounting adapter designed specifically for the Oppo Find X9 Ultra. Since the official factory Explorer Kits are unavailable in many regions, this 3D-printable model serves as a clean, independent alternative.
The design enhances the phone's natural camera ergonomics, protects the massive circular lens bump, and adds standard photography mounting points. It allows you to transform your smartphone into a more traditional camera setup, with the added capability of attaching accessories like tripods, grips, or external 67mm ND filters.
The adapter connects securely to your phone using a MagSafe ring. After multiple rounds of prototyping, I developed two distinct versions to fit different needs:
- The Slim Variant: A low-profile, highly streamlined adapter with a single 1/4" mount on the bottom to keep the setup as compact as possible.
- The Thick Variant: Features standard 1/4" mounting holes on both the side and the bottom of the device, offering maximum flexibility for multi-axis rigging and tripods. The thicker Variant is available on my profile as well
Required Hardware (BOM):
- Threaded Inserts: Standard 1/4" brass threaded inserts (standard tripod size) to melt/press into the printed holes.
- MagSafe Component: A strong adhesive MagSafe ring or magnet array to ensure a secure, snap-on connection to your phone or phone case.
- ND-Filter: Fits a 67mm Filter
Print Recommendations:
Standard PLA works perfectly for this model and is completely sufficient for everyday use! If you plan to use the rig heavily outdoors in direct, hot midsummer sun or leave it in a hot car, you can optionally opt for PETG – but for normal use, standard PLA is absolutely fine.
To ensure the parts are strong enough when you melt or press in the brass threaded inserts, I recommend using at least 3 to 4 walls/perimeters and an infill of around 25% – 40%.
Check out the pictures to see how it looks mounted on the device. If you find this model useful, please consider dropping a like and uploading a photo of your print!
