Description
Got yourself one of those new Alpha Antenna SS34+ telescoping elements?
Feel like it's a bit wobbly on that small base?
I present an alternative support solution that utilizes the standard ground mount spike and some extras you can find at your local hardware store to get a bit more support on that wobbly vertical.
These brackets allow for an insulated support connection as seen in the photos to reinforce the ground connection and decrease risk of failure at the screw in point.
It fits the SS34+ well, it should fit the smaller telescoping elements but if you need a smaller internal diameter shoot me a message and I can modify it as needed.
Additional materials:
- U-bolt - 5/16 in. x 1-3/4 in. x 4-3/16 in. (Everbilt #383 u-bolt from Home Depot)
- Slotted metal post - (Plated Steel Slotted Angle 1-1/4 in. x 1-1/4 in. - 3 ft. 18GA also from Home Depot)
