Description

Ketchup Katana Collapsible Sword

Continue the food fight!

  • Top label is glued on. (I recommend heating the label with a heat gun or hairdryer and shaping it to the bottle first.)
  • Body label should be tight fitting but you may want to glue this in place as well. Test fit it first.
  • You can print the labels in pure white if you don't have an AMS or don't want to use pause to change filaments.
  • I also added a print profile for a bottle with no labels, just the cap.

Print Profiles:

  • AMS Labels - primary profile
    • The main label in the profile has five colors. If you have a single AMS, you can change the Gold to Black or Red for the border.
    • The white parts are all on separate plates since I enabled variable layers heights on the main label and cap.
    • You could print this one and just select a single color for each print.  (i.e.: Override all the colors to white when printing the body label.) But you will get slightly better prints with the No AMS version if you just want 2 total colors.
  • Bottle without labels
    • Has two plates: bottle + blades and base, and the cap
  • No AMS - solid colors only
    • Text and borders removed from parts. Will produce smoother prints since the slicer doesn't attempt to combine the details into a solid object…since they already are solid objects.
  • "The Ketchana" - Alternate Label (Includes both Main and Top labels)
    • This contains an alternate main label with “Ketchana” instead of “Katanup”.  “Katanup” matches “Ketchup” visually but it doesn't sound as cool or is as much fun to say as “Ketchana”. (Thanks @froggything11.)
    • Includes 4-color options (with Black or Red borders) along with the 5-color version.

All profiles have variable layer heights for visual quality and scarf seams which helps when the blades extend or collapse.

Assembly Tips:

  • I tested with a good amount of filament brands (Bambu, Polymaker, eSUN, Sunlu, Hatchbox) but I recommended Bambu PLA Basic for the bottle/blades for the least amount of friction due to consistency within Bambu Studio.
  • For the tolerances, I leaned more towards being tight versus loose because I didn't want anything feeling janky when swinging it around a food fight.
  • The bottom of the bottle has big old chunky threads and you naturally will have a little stringing or blobs on the surface with any printer. Don't try to force it and screw all the way in one go. Screw it in until you get a little resistance, then back it out and then screw it back in. Rinse and repeat until you have it fully screwed in.
  • The body label is tight on purpose. To insert, keep it parallel with the body, line up the top edges with the top of the bottle cutout and slide in at the cut angle.
  • Hopefully it all goes smoothly for everyone, please let me know if there are any issues.

Changelog:

  • 2026-06-02 - Added additional print profile for "The Ketchana" (alternate label)
