Description

Hi everyone! I designed this intake cover for our CFmoto 450MT (also known as the IBEX450). I know there are already some models around, but it was a rainy Saturday and I was bored, so I decided to design my own! :)

 

The design is split into two parts to make printing easier without support. You don't even need to glue them together: just insert the BOT part first, followed by the TOP part, when installing it in place of the stock cover.

 

I haven't run a CFD analysis, but I followed the curve of another velocity stack I had on a different bike, adapting it to the available space for an easy installation. I paid close attention to matching the edge of the velocity stack to the one of the air filter.

I recommend printing it in PETG, ABS, or other durable materials. Please leave comments, feedback, or suggestions. I'm currently working on a version with a pre-filter for dusty environments. Feel free to print it! I'm also attaching the STEP files in case you want to modify them. I only ask that you do not use this design for commercial purposes. Happy printing! Matteo
