I tried this a few years ago and just could never get a manifold object to come out. I tried again this week and I guess I've learned something.

I wanted to make a hollow or broken cryo chamber that might be discovered post horrible space accident or xenomorph like disaster. I still have more I want to do with it, but this is a working prototype at the moment.

This is in the original scale. I test-printed at 150% scale. I think it may need to bump up a bit (165-175%)

EDIT: 11/10/18 - I managed to make the hinge function on this. I scaled my final print to 180%

EDIT: 11/12/18 - Added acid-effect lid, and matching trio banks to the originals by dutchmogul (with and without console).

EDIT: 03/15/2026 - I had a request to modify the file. I haven't made any of these in a long time and don't even have the same printer I made them on originally. I have uploaded a V3 Cryopod Lid. It has a smaller tab for inserting into the hinge and I cut some of the contacting face out so it would close better. I print these at 180% size. Files are still scaled to the original models.
