NanoSkadis – The Nanoleaf Skadis Pegboards

NanoSkadis is a modular 3D-printable triangle wall panel system designed to combine the visual geometry of Nanoleaf-style triangle lighting panels with full IKEA SKÅDIS pegboard compatibility.

The panel follows the exact triangular form factor inspired by Nanoleaf Shapes Ultra Black Triangle panels, allowing it to visually integrate seamlessly into modern LED wall setups while adding functional storage capability.

Each panel is fully SKÅDIS compatible, using identical hole spacing to the IKEA system. This means you can directly install standard SKÅDIS accessories such as hooks, shelves, holders, and bins without any modification. It also supports a wide range of custom 3D-printed attachments.

By interlocking NanoSkadis panels between Nanoleaf-style triangle light panels, you can create a continuous hybrid wall system that blends ambient lighting aesthetics with practical organization space.

Print Settings (Recommended)

• Minimal supports unless specified otherwise
• Infill: rectilinear 5%
• Walls: 2
• Layer height: 0.20 mm
• Material: PLA or PETG recommended for strength and rigidity

The model includes two mounting variants:

• Spacer version (6mm offset):
  This version creates a 6mm gap between the wall and the panel. The panel itself is 5mm thick. This spacing is designed to better replicate real-world installations where Nanoleaf panels are slightly offset from the wall due to mounting methods such as removable adhesive pads. The extra clearance also ensures enough space behind the panel for SKÅDIS-style hooks, shelves, and accessories to properly lock in.
• Flat version (no spacer):
  This version sits flush against the wall. It can be used for a cleaner aesthetic, but requires the user to manually ensure a gap between the wall and the panel during installation. Without this clearance, SKÅDIS accessories (hooks, shelves, holders) may not have enough space to engage properly and therefore may not function as intended.

Important Note

Although all NanoSkadis panels share the same SKÅDIS hole pattern, the alignment is not continuous between adjacent panels after installation. Each panel must be treated as an independent unit.

This is due to the original IKEA SKÅDIS hole pattern design, which is not intended to be extended seamlessly across modular shapes like triangles. Because of this structural constraint, it is not possible to maintain perfect hole continuity between separate triangular panels while preserving SKÅDIS compatibility.

This means:

• Shelves and accessories must be installed within a single panel only
• You cannot mount accessories that span across two or more panels
• Each shelf, hook, or holder must be fully supported by one individual panel

This design choice ensures structural integrity and consistent compatibility with SKÅDIS accessories.
