Description

This 3d print was designed because I needed a clean, reliable way to display some of my own 3D models, but nothing I found matched the look or functionality I wanted. So I decided to design it myself.

After generating the base form through an image‑to‑3D process, I brought the model into Blender for heavy refinement. I spent a lot of time fixing the texturing, adjusting the thickness, and sculpting the overall shape until it felt right. I also cut the model into multiple parts so it could be easily mounted on a wall, even for users who prefer a no‑AMS setup.

Version 1 Challenges

My first print didn’t turn out the way I hoped. The layer lines were very visible, the finish wasn’t clean, and—most importantly—there was no reliable way to mount it to the wall. That meant going back into Bambu Studio and experimenting with different settings, orientations, and print parameters to improve the results.

Version 2 Improvements

Version 2 is the polished, final form of this model. It features:

  • Support‑free printing — every part is designed to print cleanly with no supports.
  • A no‑AMS option — perfect for single‑color printers or users who prefer simplicity.
  • Wall‑mountable geometry — redesigned mounting points for secure, easy installation.
  • A sleek, clean finish — optimized surfaces for smoother prints and reduced visible layer lines.
  • Silk Red and Silk Gold filament compatibility — the model looks especially striking in these materials, giving it a premium, sculptural shine.

Final

This project took a lot of iteration, problem‑solving, and refinement, but the final result is exactly what I envisioned. Version 2 is clean, functional, support‑free, and ready for anyone to print—AMS or not. I’m excited for you to check it out.
