Description

The ZenWeighted Soap Dish: Stability meets Hygiene

Elevate your bathroom setup with the ZenWeighted Soap Dish, a 3D-printed accessory engineered to solve the most common issues with plastic household items: lack of stability and difficult cleaning.

💎 Key Features

  • Integrated Ballast System: Designed with internal circular slots to house common coins. By adding weight mid-print, you give the dish a premium, "heavy" feel that prevents it from sliding on wet surfaces.
  • Support-Free Design: Optimized geometry that prints perfectly without any support structures, ensuring a clean finish and zero material waste.
  • Easy-to-Clean Surface: While great in raw PLA/PETG, this model is specifically designed to be epoxy resin friendly. A thin coat of resin seals the layer lines, creating a non-porous, hydrophobic surface that wipes clean in seconds.
  • Minimalist Aesthetic: A sleek, modern profile that fits any bathroom decor, from industrial to contemporary.

🪙 The "Hidden Weight" System

Tired of lightweight 3D prints flying off the sink? I’ve designed specific internal cavities to act as a ballast.

  1. Slice the model and identify the layer where the internal slots are closed (just before the "ceiling" of the cavities).
  2. Add a Pause at Height (M600 or equivalent) in your slicer.
  3. During the pause, simply drop coins into the slots.
  4. Resume the print to seal them permanently inside.

🖨️ Printing Instructions

  • Supports: Not needed.
  • Walls: 3-4 walls recommended for durability.
  • Infill: 15% (Gyroid recommended).
  • Material: PLA, PETG, or ABS. If you plan to use epoxy, standard PLA works perfectly.
  • Pause Layer: Check your slicer preview to set the pause right before the slots are covered!

✨ Post-Processing Tip

For the best experience, I highly recommend coating the dish with a layer of clear epoxy resin. Not only does it make the color "pop," but it makes the dish 100% waterproof and incredibly easy to sanitize, preventing soap scum from sticking to the layer lines.
