Hello everyone,
Just in time for the start of the outdoor season, I got myself a new action camera
For this, I developed a lens protective ring that, in contrast to the original (elastomer), is made of hard plastic, e.g. PETG
This is clipped on and remains permanently mounted. The ring extends 1.5 mm beyond the lens, thus offering better protection in the event of collisions
Thanks to the knurling, the complete attachment can be disassembled more easily
For transport, I developed a soft TPU cover; this can only be used in combination with the protective ring
The ring only fits the original attachment and not filters from other manufacturers
Assembly:
The ring sits very tightly; it must be pulled over all edges as simultaneously as possible
Disassembly:
Slightly twist the lens and release the ring with your fingernail
