Description
đ ïž Silicone Tube Replacement Plunger
You know that feeling: you quickly want to apply a silicone joint to finish the job, but the plunger in the tube is broken, jammed, or slides backward? The silicone suddenly pushes backward out of the tube, the cartridge is still full, and the stores have long been closed
Exactly that happened to me. So I quickly designed a replacement plunger that can be easily inserted into the tube
- Pull out the old, defective plunger
- Insert new plunger
- Continue working as if nothing happened
The replacement plunger sits securely, seals cleanly, and saves any opened silicone tube that would otherwise have ended up in the trash
For printing, I recommend PLA
Recommended size based on silicone tube outer diameter
Outer diameter 49.0 => Plunger 46.3
Outer diameter 49.2 => Plunger 46.5
Outer diameter 49.4 => Plunger 46.7
Outer diameter 49.6 => Plunger 46.9
For my silicone tubes, plungers with diameters D46.3 and D46.5 usually fit
