Description
A flexible bathtub drain hair catcher designed to help trap loose hair before it goes deeper into the drain.
The model sits inside the drain opening and uses side slots to keep water flowing. It is easy to remove, clean, rinse, and reuse.
I designed this model about 3 months ago and tested it before publishing to make sure the fit, flexibility, water flow, and cleaning process worked well.
Size / Fitment
Designed for a bathtub drain opening of approximately 44 mm diameter.
Please measure your drain before printing. If needed, you can scale the model slightly in your slicer to match your drain size.
Material Requirement
Print with TPU 95A or TPU 95A HF only.
This model needs to stay flexible for proper fit, removal, and reuse.
Please do not print it with PLA or PETG, TPU for AMS as they may be too rigid.
TPU Drying Note
Please dry your TPU before printing.
In the comparison photo:
Wet TPU can cause stringing, fuzz, rough surfaces, and poor print quality — unless you want to count the stringing as an extra layer of filtration.
P.S. For the demo photo, I used black sewing thread to simulate trapped hair in a cleaner and more presentable way.
