LogiKer – Seika

Seika is a new variation in the LogiKer series and this time comes with a new pattern as well as an optional hanging version.

The main body is printed with fuzzy skin, which gives the surface a slightly softer and less “perfectly smooth” look. In my opinion, it just fits the overall design better this way.

The handle / hanging setup is completely optional of course. You can either print it as a regular tealight holder or add the stand and rod version.

Depending on your printer and print tolerances, you may need a bit of glue for the stand base and the rod. Mine fit together fine, but I’d rather mention it before someone starts questioning their printer.

After a few comments and some criticism on the previous design, I also tried to make the opening for the tealight slightly larger this time. The tealight should now be much easier to remove and insert again without having to take the handle off every time.

The handle assembly itself is a bit fiddly though. But once you finally get it together, it holds surprisingly well.

The maximum inner diameter is 42 mm, so slightly larger LED tealights will fit.

Note:
LED only.
Even with the handle attached, it is still plastic and not an actual lantern.

Will the lantern print well with silk filament? Thank you

I haven’t tried it with PLA Silk. But as long as the filament is dry, I don’t see any reason why it shouldn’t print well with silk filament.
