Description

Wacom Intuos 5 [PTH-850] Replacement šŸ–ŠļøšŸ–ŒļøšŸŖ¶

Okay, this is definitely not going to become the most popular project on MakerWorld, but for anyone like me who still owns an old Wacom Intuos 5 Touch /[PTH-850], this is an absolute lifesaver.

Back in the day, this tablet was a huge step forward because it introduced touch functionality alongside pen input, basically turning it into a giant trackpad.
It did, however, come with one massive flaw: after a few years, the silicone cover over the side buttons would deform and peel off. Impossible to glue back on, impossible to find as a replacement part.

Years later, thanks to 3D printing, I was finally able to bring back to life what had been a trusted companion through almost 12 years of work.

I created two versions of the fix: one close to the original design, featuring the full button plate and touch wheel (which still fully works), and a second more minimal version.
And yes, in both cases the tablet’s functions are fully restored — this is not just a cosmetic fix.

IMPORTANT: Do not change the print settings from the provided profile. The correct touch functionality of the wheel depends entirely on those settings.
