Realistic Glock 19 Static Prop & Cosplay Model

Detailed Description

Bring your tactical cosplay, film projects, or display collection to the next level with this highly detailed, 1-to-1 scale Glock 19 static prop gun! This model has been carefully crafted to capture the iconic aesthetics, texturing, and geometry of the classic sidearm, providing an authentic look without any moving parts.

To give you the absolute best printing experience, the included .3mf file features two pre-configured plates:

  • Plate 1 (Recommended): Features the Glock 19 precision-cut in half lengthwise. Printing the model in halves eliminates the need for messy, complex supports, ensures beautiful surface finishes on both sides, and drastically improves bed adhesion.
  • Plate 2: Features the complete, solid whole gun model for advanced printers or those wishing to orient it vertically/experiment with custom supports.

Because printing the model as a solid piece can be incredibly difficult to support and clean up, I highly recommend printing the halved version on Plate 1. Once printed, simply join the two halves together. For a permanent, seamless bond, I recommend ARKA KRAFTPROTZ UNIVERSAL Superglue to securely lock the pieces in place without ruining your surface details.

How It's Used & Functionality

This is a non-firing, static prop designed specifically for safe use in cosplay, theatrical productions, film props, and aesthetic displays. It features a realistic grip texture and true-to-life dimensions, making it perfect for filling out tactical holsters on a costume or practicing drawing drills safely. Note: Please ensure you follow your local convention and community guidelines regarding prop replicas, including adding a high-visibility orange tip to the barrel if required.

History of the Design

First introduced in the late 1980s, the Glock 19 is a compact variant of the original Glock 17. Renowned worldwide by law enforcement, military agencies, and security professionals for its lightweight polymer frame and legendary reliability, it has become arguably the most recognizable modern handgun in the world. It has been featured in countless action movies, video games, and TV shows, making it an essential staple piece for any pop culture or tactical gear enthusiast.

Filament Recommendations

To achieve that authentic, rugged polymer frame and matte steel slide look, material choice is everything. I highly recommend checking out SUNLU’s premium lineup to get the perfect finish:

Remix Ideas & Alternative Uses

Looking to adapt this file for another project? Here are some excellent ways this model can be remixed or utilized:

  • Training Aid: Modify the internal geometry or print at a high infill to use as a weighted blue-gun style trainer for holster molding and tactical training.
  • Sci-Fi/Cyberpunk Conversion: Add greebles, extended futuristic mag wells, compensators, or integrated lasers to turn this classic sidearm into a futuristic blaster.
  • Desk Organizer / Prop Stand: Design a custom display stand or wall mount plaque to show off your print alongside your favorite gear setup.
  • Custom Grips: Modify the stippling texture pattern in CAD to create personalized ergonomic grips or custom engraved logos.
