Julius II (Giuliano della Rovere) – Bust

Julius II, born Giuliano della Rovere, was one of the most influential popes of the Italian Renaissance. Often called “the Warrior Pope,” he played a major role in shaping both the Catholic Church and Renaissance art during the early 16th century. A great patron of the arts, he famously initiated the rebuilding of St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome and commissioned masterpieces from Michelangelo and Raphael, helping define the artistic golden age of the Vatican.

This 3D printed bust is inspired by the most iconic representation of Julius II, famously portrayed in Raphael’s celebrated painting. The sculpture faithfully captures the pope’s distinctive features: his thoughtful and solemn gaze, his characteristic beard, and the imposing simplicity of his papal garments. The sculptural interpretation emphasizes strong facial volumes, expressive lines, and the dignified presence of the character, in a classical style designed specifically for 3D printing.
