Magnetic Filament Track Switch Mount

Description:

This is a simplified, magnetic version of the original Filament Track Switch mount from BambuLab. The original mount is designed to be screwed into a fixed position on the back of the printer. However, depending on your desk setup, AMS placement, and cable management, the fixed position might not be ideal for everyone.

Advantages:

• Flexible Positioning: Place the module anywhere on the metal back panel of your printer.
• Optimized Alignment: Adjust the angle and position to ensure the smoothest possible path for your PTFE tubes, reducing friction and stress.
• Tool-less Installation: Simply snap it onto the back and move it whenever you need.

Three versions available:

• Printplate 1    Round magnets:   d8x3 mm
• Printplate 2:   Round magnets:   d6x3 mm
• Printplate 3:   Rectangular magnets:  10x5x2 mm

Hardware Needed:

• 6 pcs magnets
  • d8x3 mm Round magnets (stronger) or
  • d6x3 mm round magnets or
  • 10x5x2 mm rectangular Magnets

• A drop of glue if the magnets aren't a tight fit

   

Print Settings:

• Material: PLA, PETG is fine
• Layer Height: 0.2mm
• Infill: 15%
• Supports: No

This is a remix of the original mount for the Bambu Lab Filament Track Switch. I cut off the section with the screw fixings and extruded holes for the magnets in the remaining part.
