Hello,

For my new RadioLink RC8X, I created this adapter which allows the use of the optional 1700mAh Lipo battery

It prevents the battery from moving in its compartment, protects the wires, and also allows you to store a few small tools next to it (the provided small Allen keys, the spare trigger, and a small cloth to clean the screen, for example)

To install it, nothing could be simpler: just insert the adapter into the case (after removing the battery compartment if it is present, of course), insert the plug being careful to respect the connection direction (+ and -) and push it until it is flush with the bottom of the adapter. Then place the Lipo battery with the balance plug in the designated compartment and run the power wires over the top between the edge and the Lipo (see photos)

This way, the power plug can no longer move, and there is no longer a risk of damaging the contacts by twisting or pushing on them

Before installing the adapter, I advise you to test the plug's fit into the hole; it should be flush and fit completely. If not, feel free to use a small file to enlarge the hole

Above all, do not force anything, whether it's for installing the adapter, plugging in the connector, or closing the hatch… Depending on your printer and settings, it might be a bit tight. Feel free to tell me in the comments, and I might be able to revise some dimensions…

In the small compartment next to it, you can easily store the 2 small Allen keys and the provided spare trigger. I added a small cloth that holds everything in place and allows cleaning the screen when necessary

The size is adapted to the 1700mAh Lipo battery optionally supplied by RadioLink, but you can use any battery, as long as it is smaller (max 14x34x86mm) and secured with foam shims, for example (see last photo)

I made 2 profiles: one with 3 colors (for AMS) to clearly distinguish the + and the - and another with a single color

There you go; as usual, feel free to post photos, comment, and let me know if there are any improvements to be made…

And check out my other models, and give it a little thumbs up 😉
