Description

Parametric Wood Beam Connector

A fully parametric corner connector designed to join two wooden beams at a 90° angle. Perfect for DIY furniture, shelving, workbenches, or any woodworking project where you need a clean, strong right-angle connection.

All key dimensions are customizable, so you can easily adapt the connector to fit your specific beam sizes and screw types — no redesign needed.

Customizable parameters include:

  • Beam width and height
  • Wall thickness
  • Drill hole diameter and position
  • Overall connector dimensions
  • Open model (default: on) — when enabled, the connector is open on the inside, eliminating the need for supports. Switch this off if you prefer a fully closed model, but be aware that supports may then be required depending on the size of your print.

Print settings:

  • Material: PLA / PETG / ABS
  • Infill: 40–60% recommended for strength
  • No supports needed when using the default open model setting — minor stringing may occur on the inside, but this is not visible from the outside
  • If you use the closed model option, enable supports in your slicer if needed
  • Layer height: 0.2mm

Hardware needed:

  • Wood screws matching your chosen drill hole diameter

Simply adjust the parameters to match your beams, slice, and print. The connector fits snugly around the beam ends and is secured with screws through the pre-positioned drill holes.
