Description

BBQ Restoration Kit: Parametric Wheels, Handles & Grips

Give your barbecue a second life with this complete and fully adjustable restoration kit! I designed these parts to replace the worn-out elements of my own BBQ, improving both durability and the original aesthetics.

All parts have been tested on my printers using PETG CF to ensure they withstand outdoor conditions and continuous use.

🛠️ Design Features

This project stands out for being 100% parametric. If your barbecue has different dimensions, you can easily adapt the files.

1. Reinforced Wheels Built to last. They feature internal ribs that increase structural rigidity and an embossed tread pattern on the rim to facilitate grip and movement on grass or uneven pavement.

  • Adjustable: Width, total diameter, central axle diameter, and securing nut metric size.

2. Grill Grate Handles Improved ergonomics for handling meat grates safely.

  • Adjustable: Handle width and length, as well as insert dimensions (width/height).
  • Strength: The print orientation in the profile ensures the part withstands traction without delaminating.
  • Premium Finish: The print profile is configured so the outer perimeter mimics a rough iron texture, giving it an industrial and professional look.

3. Ash Drawer Pull Handle Heat resistant with a firm grip.

  • Adjustable: Length, width, distance between inserts, and insert diameter.
  • Strength: The print orientation in the profile ensures the part withstands traction without delaminating.
  • Premium Finish: The print profile is configured so the outer perimeter mimics a rough iron texture, giving it an industrial and professional look.

🚀 Recommended Print Settings

To achieve the best results and the "rough iron" finish, use the attached print profile:

  • Material: PETG HF (Highly recommended for thermal and UV resistance).
  • Walls/Perimeters: 4 or more for maximum strength.

⚠️ Important note about tolerances

No manufacturing tolerances have been added to the models.
All generated parts will be created using the exact dimensions introduced in the parameters.

Every printer, material and slicer setup behaves differently, so you should apply the tolerances that best fit your own machine, printing profile and intended fit.
