Peruvian Hairless Dog Bust

This Peruvian Hairless Dog bust captures the striking silhouette and refined structure of one of the world’s most ancient breeds. Sculpted in a poised three-quarter profile, the piece emphasises clean anatomical lines, alert posture, and the breed’s unmistakable hairless texture.

The head is modelled with a narrow, elongated muzzle and smooth cranial dome, reflecting the elegant sighthound-like proportions typical of the breed. Subtle contouring around the brow and eye socket creates a calm, watchful expression. The sculpt avoids heavy surface detailing, allowing the sleek planes of the face to define the character.

The upright ears rise sharply from the crown, forming a strong vertical frame. Their crisp edges contrast with the softer curves of the skull, reinforcing the breed’s attentive and intelligent demeanour. Fine surface modulation suggests natural skin variation without overwhelming the form.

Along the crown and upper head, a sculpted crest introduces visual texture and individuality. This subtle detailing provides contrast to the otherwise smooth surfaces and reflects the occasional tufted variation seen within the breed.

The long, elegant neck flows seamlessly into the upper chest, capturing the Peruvian Hairless Dog’s graceful carriage. Minimal coat texturing maintains structural clarity, highlighting muscle definition and natural posture rather than fur volume.

The bronze-effect finish enhances depth and definition. Dark patina settles into recessed facial contours and beneath the jawline, while raised planes across the muzzle and ears catch warm metallic highlights. This interplay of light and shadow accentuates the sculpt’s sleek geometry.

Mounted on a stepped circular plinth, the bust achieves compositional balance and stability. The base grounds the slender upper form, creating a harmonious overall presentation.
