Boost Me (for free)
Your Boost helps me to create more things! I appreciate any support.
A clean, low-profile stand designed to let your Steam Controller live on your desk in style — always charged, always ready.
The stand is sized to accept the official Steam Controller charging puck, which clips securely into the base and keeps your controller topped up while on display. The dock cutout holds the puck at the correct angle so the controller seats and releases with one hand — no fussing, no two-handed wrestling to get it off the charger.
The base uses increased infill to add meaningful weight at the bottom, keeping the stand planted when you grab the controller one-handed. There are four recessed indents on the underside for self-adhesive rubber feet (not included), preventing any desk sliding and protecting your surface.
The overall design is intentionally minimal — no logos, no unnecessary geometry — so it fits any setup without looking out of place.
Print Settings
- Material: PLA (PETG also works well)
- Layer Height: 0.2mm
- Infill: 100% for the base section (modifier region), 5% gyroid elsewhere
- Supports: Yes — required for the puck clip cavity
Notes
The puck is meant to “clip” into the stand. Every printer has slightly different tolerances so you may need to change the size of your print by 1 or 2% to get the fitting just right (or add tape if you don't mind it being held in place that way)
No hardware, glue, or post-processing required beyond removing supports.
