Parametric Plant Clip XL — Stake & Stem Holder
This version of my plant clip allows you to use a cable tie on both the rod side and / or the plant side for even greater stability.
A fully parametric clip that securely attaches plant stems to garden rods. Whether you're supporting peppers, tomatoes or tying back climbing roses — just dial in your dimensions and print a clip that fits perfectly every time.
No more fighting with wire ties or soft clips that don't hold their shape. This clip wraps firmly around both the stake and the stem with an adjustable gap between them, keeping the plant upright without constricting growth.

Parameters
- Rod diameter — Match your bamboo, metal, or wooden rod exactly
- Plant diameter — Size for stem thickness — thin herbs to thick vines
- Wall thickness (rod side) — Controls grip strength on the rod
- Wall thickness (plant side) — Tune for a firm but gentle hold on the rod
- Gap between stake & plant — Leave room for stem growth or wrap tightly
- Clip height — Taller = more contact area and stability
Recommended Materials
- PETG — Best all-around choice, UV-tolerant and flexible enough for easy clipping
- ABS — Good heat resistance, ideal for hot climates or sunny spots
- ASA — Excellent UV and weather resistance, the top pick for permanent outdoor use
