This model includes two separate 3MF files:
Emblem / Badge 3MF
- Optimized for 0.2 mm nozzle
- Recommended for the best text and detail quality
Backplate / Clip 3MF
- Can be printed with 0.4 mm nozzle or larger
- Strong and fast to print
- No supports required
Both parts are designed to fit together after printing.
Printing Information
The badge itself is optimized for:
- 0.2 mm nozzle recommended
A 0.4 mm nozzle may work for the badge text/details, but results can vary depending on printer calibration and filament quality.
The clip piece can easily be printed with:
- 0.4 mm nozzle
- Larger nozzles
No supports are required for any part.
0.4 Nozzle Version Notice for Emblem
This profile is an experimental 0.4 mm nozzle optimized version of the original 0.2 mm design.
The model was primarily designed around a 0.2 mm nozzle to achieve the small text and fine details correctly. Because of this, printing with a 0.4 mm nozzle may result in:
- Minor detail loss
- Softer edges
- Slight imperfections in small text areas
- Even failed prints
Print quality will heavily depend on:
- Proper printer calibration
- Correct filament settings
- A clean and well-prepared build plate
- Good first layer adhesion
Many printers can still achieve acceptable results with a 0.4 mm nozzle, but results may vary depending on hardware, filament, and tuning quality.
The 0.4 mm profile is provided as an optional convenience version and may require additional tuning depending on your printer setup.

This is a very fine-detail model originally designed for a 0.2 mm nozzle, and some printers may require additional tuning to achieve optimal results.
Resin / Gloss Finish Option
The backplate is intentionally designed slightly higher than the badge surface.
This allows users to optionally pour:
- UV resin
- Clear epoxy resin
- Acrylic top coat / self-leveling clear finish
over the emblem area to achieve a glossy OEM-style finish without the liquid dripping over the edges during curing.
This step is completely optional but can significantly improve the final appearance.
Recommended Material
For automotive exterior use, I strongly recommend:
- PETG or stronger materials
This provides:
- Better heat resistance
- Improved UV resistance
- Better long-term durability outdoors
PLA is not recommended for long-term exterior use in hot environments.
Installation
Simply print the parts, assemble the badge with a strong glue, and clip it directly onto the front grille.
No tools or permanent modifications required.
