Description
Welcome to my Ludus, I am Lucius Gabrius and let me introduce you to one of our gladiators: The Thraex.
Ah, the favorite of the common folk! The Thraex brings the fierce spirit of the northern tribes to our sands. Look at that sica, the curved blade designed specifically to reach around the enemy's shield and bite into their back or neck.
He is protected by a pair of high ocreae that reach above his knees and a small, sturdy parmula shield. His helmet, adorned with the fierce griffin, tells the opponent exactly what he is: a predator. He is the natural rival of the Murmillo, a specialist in flanking and quick maneuvers. Put him in the opening bout, and I guarantee the roar of the crowd will be heard from here to the Palatine.
Don't trust my pictures, and try for yourself. I never sand mines after printing, and usually just use acrylic paints without priming it first, and print using probably a thicker layer than what I should because… I'm impatient LOL anyway, they look better in real life than in my pictures!
