Description

NanoDock Mini

The clean, centered iPod dock you were looking for — in about a 28 min print.

Minimal docks for your 30-pin iPod collection.

Highlights

  • 28 min print
  • Clean centered fit for the off-center 30-pin iPod Nanos
  • Easy to dock and undock daily
  • Uses the common 30-pin cable shown in the last photo
  • No bulky dock hardware
  • Great for desk, shelf, nightstand, or audio setups
  • Best mounted with nano tape

In the Bambu 3MF file, every build plate is renamed with the compatible iPods for that dock model, so choosing the right one should be easy.

Why I made it

Most simple iPod docks either look bulky or make certain iPod Nanos sit awkwardly off-center.

So I made these as clean and minimal as possible while keeping each iPod nicely centered.

Daily use

The iPods are easy to plug in and take out, so this is not just a display stand.

I use mine daily and dock / undock them all the time.

Cable note

These docks are made for the common Apple/generic 30-pin cable, like the one shown in the last photo.

They are not made for the very old taller 30-pin plug.

Mounting

For mounting, I recommend nano tape.

It does not leave residue, has a bit of thickness, and gives the dock a subtle floating feel.

Double-sided tape or sticky putty also works.

Included

  • iPod Nano dock versions
  • iPod Touch version
  • Possible iPod Classic / iPod Mini compatibility

The iPod Nano 7th gen is not included because it uses Lightning.

I have not fully tested the iPod Classic or iPod Mini yet. They may fit, but if one does not fit properly, leave a comment and I’ll try to make a corrected version.
