Print Profile(1)

Description
Bring a little piece of the ocean to your desk, shelf, bathroom, beach house, aquarium corner, or summer-themed display with this decorative lattice seahorse sculpture.
This design combines a graceful seahorse silhouette with an organic coral reef base and open lattice body, giving it a light, airy, almost underwater look while still being a solid 3D printed display piece. The holes and coral-inspired structure make the model catch light beautifully, especially in silk, glossy, metallic, or bright ocean-themed filament colors.
It is designed as a decorative print for anyone who loves sea life, coastal decor, ocean animals, coral reef designs, nautical themes, or just unique sculptural 3D prints.
The open lattice style gives it a very eye-catching look without needing multiple colors or complex painting. A single blue, turquoise, pearl, white, silk, or translucent filament can already look fantastic.
Important Printing Note — Supports
This print does need supports, and I want to be very honest about that:
Support removal is not fun.
Because of the open coral/lattice geometry, there are many small areas where supports can grab onto the model. Removing them takes patience, small tools, and a little care. It is absolutely doable, and the finished result was worth it for me, but this is not a “print, pop off, done in 30 seconds” type of model.
You can reduce the amount of support by orienting the model on its side, but that comes with a trade-off: one side of the sculpture may look noticeably worse because it becomes the supported side.
So the choice is basically:
Upright orientation:
Best-looking finished display piece, but more supports and more cleanup.
Side orientation:
Less support material, but one side may have rougher surface quality.
Pick your poison. Personally, I printed it upright because I wanted the cleanest-looking final display piece from the front.
Take your time with support removal and the result can be beautiful.
A great use of the X2Ds new second nozzle (supports in PETG and print in PLA!)
If you print this model, I’d love to see your make — photos, ratings, and feedback really help a lot. Thanks for checking out my design and for supporting my work!
