GBU-16 Paveway II Laser-Guided Bomb – Scale 1:48
This model represents the GBU-16 Paveway II in 1:48 scale and was developed as a detailed addition for modern jet models. It is ideal for depicting realistic precision weaponry and complements existing loadouts with a classic laser-guided bomb for modern NATO aircraft
The characteristic design of the GBU-16, with its distinctive fins and typical Paveway sensor section, has been recreated as faithfully as possible. At the same time, the model has been optimized for reliable 3D printing to ensure stable and clean printability on common FDM printers
Possible Uses
The GBU-16 is particularly suitable for modern ground attack and precision strike configurations. In combination with targeting pods such as the ATFLIR Pod, realistic laser-guided deployment configurations can be displayed
It pairs particularly well with modern jets like the F/A-18 Super Hornet or the F-14 / A10, adding an authentic air-to-ground loadout to corresponding models
Compatibility
The model was designed to visually integrate harmoniously with the style of 1:48 scale COBI aircraft and can be flexibly combined with other armament elements

The GBU-16 belongs to the Paveway II series of laser-guided bombs and is used by various air forces worldwide. Its combination of a classic bomb body and a laser seeker makes it one of the most well-known precision weapons of modern combat aircraft
Development
This model was designed at the request of user_2330559141 and then specifically optimized for 3D printing. The focus was on good printability, stable construction, and the most realistic possible implementation in 1:48 scale
