DAVID POP ART BUST (NO AMS)
"Renaissance Smoke" / "David: The Break"
The Concept
The work represents a bold and anachronistic reinterpretation of Michelangelo's masterpiece. The Bust of David, a universal symbol of ideal beauty and moral rigor, is here "humanized" and transposed into modernity by adding a lit cigarette between his lips. The contrast between David's proud and focused gaze and the nonchalance of the smoking gesture creates a vaporwave/street-art aesthetic, transforming a sacred icon into a contemporary antihero.
Technical Details of the Model
- Anatomical Fidelity: The model preserves the tension of the neck tendons, the precision of the hair curls, and the intensity of the original gaze, respecting the proportions of Carrara marble.
As anticipated above, the model is "NO AMS". If you use the Gcode I provided, during the printing of the cigarette towards the end, I included a pause to allow for a filament change. All this to make the cigarette realistic with an orange tip that gives the impression of being lit, especially when backlit.
