Heron hueforge

IMPORTANT NOTE: Due to the image used in hueforge being strangely cropped your prints will have square edges at the tips of some of the wings (seen as  the view in hueforge on the 5th image), the solution to this is simple: use a sharp knife to cut the corner off making the feather tip point in the desired direction and then sand it down until it is rounded. Hope you get similar results to what I got after doing this (the 6th image).

This is stylized artwork of a heron done as a hueforge, measuring roughly 60cm long. The size was achieved using hugeforge (a plugin within hueforge that allows you to print images larger than the build plate by splitting it into tiles) this has made the print use 7 build plate, however 6 can be done by moving the small end of the foot on plate 7 to plate 4 (penultimate image). 

I have achieved this print with 0.2mm nozzle although feel free to experiment (you might lose some detail). A height range modifier was used form 0mm-0.48mm with a greater layer height of 0.12 instead of 0.04, this speeds the print up (make sure to put the initial layer height on global at 0.12 to match this). You do not need an AMS for this and if without just add pauses at the given layers below. 

Add a colour change or pause on the following layers:

. Start with black (used Sunlu Meta Black PLA)

. At 0.68mm change to grey (used Sunlu Meta Grey PLA)

. At 1mm change to white (used Sunlu Meta White PLA)

. At 1.08mm change to black 

. At 1.36mm change to darker brown (used Bambu Lab PLA Basic Brown)

. At 1.56mm change to lighter brown/orange (used Kingroon Brown PLA)

. At 1.84mm change to white for the rest

Nb: You are not restricted by the filaments I used and can experiments although results may be affected with different TD values
